The Pantheon, pictured here, is a Roman temple dedicated to all the gods of pagan Rome. Today, this temple is actually a Christian church. Additionally, this church is the best preserved ancient Rome building in Rome. The building’s exceptional preservation is largely due to its current use as a church. If you are ever visiting the Pantheon, I suggest a short walk to the Trevi Fountain because it is only several blocks from here.
My fiance and I stayed in Rome for about three days and there was so much to see. Unfortunately, during the day, Rome was crowded with tourists. I had to venture off on my own and take this photo early one morning. Surprisingly, Rome is quite a different experience this early. Other than police and the random passerby, the streets were completely bare. It was beautiful and provided totally different perspective on the whole city. I took this picture near a fountain at the front of the temple. Hope you like the results.
