The Flume Bridge

With fall coming to an end, I figured I’d post this picture of the Flume Covered Bridge in Lincoln, NH. Here are some portraits that I took nearby in New Hampshire.

Ideally, I would have liked to visit this spot, among others, during sunset. Unfortunately, there was limited availability for reservations to the flume this weekend. It turns out, Columbus Day weekend is one of the busiest weekends in New Hampshire all year. Also, it was supposed to be overcast all day, which would have been ideal. However, last minute the weather changed to clear skies and sun all day. Needless to say, midday sun and clear skies is not the best weather for landscape photography. Regardless, I still couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take some shots of these awesome places.

As I mentioned, this photograph is comprised of two photos that are stitched together. I really had to mess around with the color and lighting in Lightroom before I brought this one into Photoshop. This is mainly due to the harsh light here. I have been trying to keep my pictures more natural looking lately but shots like these don’t make it easy.

Anyway, I hope you like the results.
