Pragser Wildsee (a.k.a. Lake Braies) is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. This is, hands down, my favorite place in Italy. We visited this spot on the first leg of our cross-country Italy trip. It wasn’t the easiest place to find at first, but it was well worth it. Our hotel, the Gastoff Huber, was in this remote village away from all the tourists. We arrived at a train stop several miles from the hotel and thought for sure the buses stopped running. In turn, we ventured on a multiple mile uphill hike with all our things only to find that the buses were still running. The hike was still worth it because we got to see the gorgeous country side and rolling hills that surrounded this place. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. If you have never been to this spot, I highly suggest it. Hope this shot does this place justice.
