I grew up in Massachusetts and Rhode Island has always been a short drive away. Despite living in Massachusetts, I never took the opportunity to visit Jamestown, Rhode Island. Last year, I finally took the trip and I wish I visited sooner. Located just West of Newport, Jamestown is a small beach-side town with a lot of charm. The first time I visited, there was an art festival where locals opened up their homes for visitors to see how they made their work. On this visit, I went to Beavertail Lighthouse to catch the sunset. Initially, I pointed my camera towards the sunset. But when sunset started, the colors in the sky were much more vivid from another viewpoint. This shot saved my night because I had such high hopes that I would get pictures. I took this shot on a tripod with my D810. Hope you like the results.
