I was fortunate enough to shoot my sister and brother-in-law’s tenth anniversary pictures. My sister wanted to take the photos at Steel Hill in New Hampshire which is her favorite childhood place. Fortunately, Steel Hill is also one of my favorite childhood places and they had me stay up there with them. Earlier in the day, my sister and I wandered around New Hampshire and picked out some spots she liked. The spot I took this picture at was in the snow in front of these gorgeous white birch trees. The deal was that my sister would pick the spots and I would pick the time of day. As you can probably already tell, I took these photos right around golden hour. The light that came through the trees created this beautiful warm glow and made for great pictures. Also, I used a gradient map on these photos which is a new technique for me. Turns out it is extremely useful. Hope you like the results.
